The City Council and Bellevue Municipal Utilities recently hosted a Town Hall Meeting for the public. The purpose was to keep the public informed on City goals and the future of Bellevue, along with getting suggestions from citizens.
The last goal session was in 2013.
Patrick Callahan facilitated the session through group discussion, table breakout with input shared, and then each attendee put ‘dots’ on their top perceived priorities for the City. The public meeting discussed the City’s recent major accomplishments (ex. painting the water tower), concerns (ex. land availability), opportunities (ex. future for housing), policies (implementing a sidewalk policy), capital projects (developing the Stamp Property), and how citizens would like to receive communication from the Council (ex. City website). The Council, Utility Board, and Department Heads will now have a follow-up meeting to discuss results along with continuing the goal session process.
